The E* Society is a student led organization that seeks to connect entrepreneurial students and faculty from all colleges of The University of Virginia with each other and with like-minded members of the greater Charlottesville community. By partnering with other student organizations, university offices, and local groups and businesses, we are able to aggregate resources, people, and information from every corner of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. This is all about high energy, encouragement, and initiative. Join us as we endeavor to promote a culture of collaboration, interdisciplinary thinking, and action for new ventures.

The E* Society hosts a variety of events with the intention of bringing people with similar interests, but different areas of expertise together. These include guest speakers and speaker panels, networking events, competitions, educational workshops, and member presentations. If you would like our help in organizing and/or promoting your event, please let us know.

We also hope that this website will serve as Charlottesville’s virtual hub for entrepreneurs. We want you to register and post comments: discuss methods, technologies, philosophies, current events, industry news, and ideas. Let everyone know about an event that might be of interest. Find other members who posses the specific interests and talents that you need to get your business off the ground. The more you share, the more valuable this resource will be. We look for to hearing from you and working with you.

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University.  It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs.  The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.
